I drive a 2002 S4 which has been a fantastic car in the 4.5yrs I've owned it. However its out of warranty and I'm worried about repair costs, and its also showing its age (no fancy stuff bluetooth integration, steering wheel controls etc which are std these days).   How will a 2007 G35 match up? Is the handling as tight? Is it basically the same car as the G37 sedan, except for the increased hp? I'm also concerned about the mpg, from the posts here its low (~14mpg in city). I know it'll be more reliable but I guess I've been lucky with my Audi, no real issues at all so far.   Any others who made the move from old S4->G? Any other cars to look at? Replying to: mrcrispy (Jun 17, 2009 2:25 pm) Get the 37....the transmission is worth more than the HP. MPG sucks...but isn't that 4.2 pretty thirsty? A CPO S4 was on my short-list last go-around car shopping. After my girlfriend's old Passat needed front axles and they were like $600 each, I did some research and decided against it....even with the CPO. S4 is pretty much a perfect car..high hp, good handling, and AWD...and M3 for every day. Now that they make the AWD G with a sport package (They didn't when I was shopping), I doubt you'll be disappointed in anything other than interior materials (No one does interiors like Audi IMO) good luck ! !
