stereo display?

I drive an '09 Milan. My Premium/Audiophile AM/FM In-dash six CD/MP3 sound system displays artist and song name while in FM mode, but not in CD mode. Not for CDs I have burned myself, nor pre-recorded CDs. My husband has the same system in his Ford 500, he plays alot of MP3s that he burned himself, and it does display artist and song name. I can't find anything about this in the manual. Is there something I should set so it will display artist and song name from CDs? TIA, Audrey
