Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of a valet key? I mean, if it can't work the ignition, what good is it to the guy parking your van?

It's a anti-valet key: Doesn't work in the ignition, but it will open your trunk and glove box.

The vehicle should have been delivered with two keys. Why not just use the spare? I know you wouldn't have a backup but I never have used mine in 2 years. It just sits, hidden away in the secret compartment somewhere in my house.
