We're sensing an eerie state of calm from the Lexus officials at the introduction of the 2010 Lexus HS 250h in Newport Beach, California. Replying to: KarenS (May 28, 2009 9:56 am) I debated for sometime now about waiting for the Lexus 250h or ordering a 2010 Prius. I like the looks of the Lexus but was disappointed when it used the Camry engine rather than the Prius setup. Also with nothing to go on until just recently with the predicted mpg's and pricing I decided not to wait. My main concern that really pushed me to the Prius was the aggrivation I would have if I wanted to do dealer maintenance since the Lexus dealers are so far away. Even if they come and pick up the vehicle which many do, the schedulling, switching cars and all is just not very convenient. I would have been willing to pay more for the Lexus but since no pricing is out I'll just wait and consider it the next time.

Replying to: KarenS (May 28, 2009 9:56 am) This car is a bit on the ugly side for a lexus. What it lacks in looks, it makes up for in tech toys! I wish it got a bit better mileage, watch out lexus if lincoln makes the MKZ a hybrid.

so lexus built the hs for practical reasons? a souped up corolla selling for 40 g's? and only gets 35 to a gallon? practical? really?
