#1 of 2 Marks on dash / control panel after cleaning.
May 24, 2009 (9:05 am)
I recently cleaned the interior of my 2009 Subaru Forester using a standard interior cleaning (and UV protection) product sold in automotive parts stores. As a result, "water marks" remained on the areas with the smooth, silver-colored plastic surface, particularly the climate control panel and the plastic around the gear selection lever. It's as if the cleaner penetrated the outer coating in places. And since the cleaner is a milky liquid, the marks remained. I had this car for only 6 months, so this is a real drag. I've made the initial contacts with Subaru and my local dealer, but as expected, it appears there's going to be resistance. So if anybody else has had this problem, please respond here or write me at nymmhotmail.com.

No problem here but I do have a suggestion - I usually spray the cleaning product on the wipe itself, rather than directly on the surfaces of my interior. That tends to ensure an even spread and less residue.
Hope they can help you out, though.
