they said that my 2001 Rodeo was not able to be repaired and pics were sent to the main headquarters, so I called them today and they said that they were in the process of doing whatever it is they do, I have not received an offer as of yet but I don't have to tell you or anyone else with this issue how pissed off I will be if the offer is 1500 to 2000 , I still owe 4000 on it and i'm telling ya right now there is no way I am going to eat up the cost of what I owe + another 2000 for a down payment on another car + the hassle and gas + the extra mileage put on my wife's car , the list goes on and on all because they FKED up. I am all about joining this little class action and i believe we should post this all over Facebook and any other means of getting people on our side.$6000 is Just fair , that gives people enough to pay off their car , if not all at least a good portion and be able to put something down for another car. obviously for this to happen Isuzu needs to step up especially if they ever want me to consider ever buying another Isuzu . Oh and the dealership that has my car is an hour away so...yeah.

As much as it sucks, Isuzu doesn't care since they're not in the car-selling market anymore. I got 2700.00 for my 2001 and that was good compared to other offers I saw on here. Wish you the best with yours...

Could you give a short rundown of how it works. I just "lost" my Isuzu to the dealership a couple of days ago. And was told that they would be contacting me for a buyback with no specifics. How long does this process take and what does it involve? How long does it take to get the check. I can't seem to find this info anywhere if you could please enlighten me and others I'd appreciate it. I need to know how long I'm going to be waiting. And yes I did try to call Isuzu corp myself. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi! I am new to this mess. Just found out last week that there was a recall on my passport. found out when I went to put on a muffler and was told it was condemned. Honda took it from me and made it impossible to drive. I would be interested in talking to your friend because they are telling me that they will not give me what I paid for it, but the kelley blue book private party "good" amount. This is about $2500 less than it is worth. Would just like to have what it would cost me to replace it with a comparable car. I loved the car and am not going to be able to afford to buy an suv that can compare at what they are giving me. They told me that this was the only deal they are offering across the board, but you said they were giving your friend what he paid for it. I did go to a lawyer to see what my rights are and am interested in a suit. We should get amounts to cover what the replacement of the vehicles would be so that we can replace like for like.

Hi! did you find your info? I just started the process also. I had to give up my car last Thursday. Friday I received a call from Honda. They said that they are only offering the Kelley blue book or the black book whchever is highest, for the private party amount. This is quite a bit lower than the retail amount, and is about 2500 less than it is worth in my case. I did receive a rental car which I am thankful for and I love it. It makes giving up my car harder because I know that with what they are giving me I will only be able to afford a junky car, when I had a luxury suv. I am really upset and went to a lawyer today.

what amount did they tell you? They told me the kelley blue book private amount was all they were going to give.

My understanding is that stage 4 is beyond repair. they should offer you a settlement pretty quickly, but they are only giving kelley blue book for private sale only, or so they told me. I am trying to find out if anyone else got more for theirs. Totally not fair.

i have a passport, but i was told a different amount. i wouldn't sign until i talked to others with your same car and saw the amounts they were given

Folks, you need to be realistic as to what you will be paid...My Rodeo was stage 4,and I got $1500 for it,with no rental. I understand Honda owners are getting more and a rental..To think you will get anything near retail is totally wrong thinking...Isuzu is on their last legs,so be happy with what they give you.Their are variables as to condition, current shape,etc...You should not think of this as a big money win..In todays world some money is better than taking a junkyard $400 offer...Not sayin I totally agree, but you have to be realistic....The process took about 2-3 weeks for mine in Cleveland....Probably depends how many are being processed at any given time. Good luck!

thanks for your response. they have actually been pretty fair with me so far. i haven't received a check yet, but what they are offering seems fair to me. sorry you have had bad luck.
