Our new Highlander has the basic alarm that comes with the vehicle. Previous cars we have had (Ford and Chevy) would alarm if the car was locked with the fob then a passenger tried to exit some time later or if you reached in through an open window and opened a door. Our Highlander does not alarm in this type situation. Does anyone else's? The alarm will sound with the panic button. Also, I notice the blinking red car that indicates the alarm is armed is blinking any time the car is turned off even when the car is not locked and no one has even gotten out of the car yet. Is this normal?
