They may serve the same purpose but the driving dynamics are very different. The wagon drives exactly like the CTS sedan. The SRX was designed to compete with the Lexus and drives a little too much like that for my tastes. A couple of months ago I went to a Cadillac sponsored driving event where you could drive the Sport Wagon, the SRX and several of the SRX Competitors. After driving them I was standing at the Cadillac tent talking to my wife and I mentioned how much I loved the Sport Wagon and how disappointed I was in the ride of the SRX. Well, there was a woman standing next to us and overheard our conversation. She said she also owned a CTS and had the same impression of the 2 cars as I did. We seemed to attract a crowd, as a man heard us talking and also said he was a CTS owner and completely agreed with us. Now, I am not saying that no one liked the SRX, because many people did. What I am saying is if you like the way a CTS drives and handles you will not like the SRX.

Just wanted to add my comments on the 2010 CTS Wagon, We searched far and wide to a new car that would meet all our needs, We looked at Lexus, Mercedes and BMW. All the cars were very nice but when you started adding all the options the price shot up real fast.. We decided on the CTS 2010 Wagon, This car listed for 55,880.00 It has everything except AWD. I could not be happier with the car. Although we have had it only one week now and put about 1200 miles on it. The room inside is very nice and the options were everything I needed. The only comment my wife has is there is not enough room for both our cups of coffee..
I will do a complete breakdown on how it works our for us.. So far I could not ask for a quieter nor better ride in a sport wagon..

Love my 2010 red AWD Sportwagon but have been having a problem with the tail lights. They break the top clip and pull away from the vehicle at the top. They have been replaced once, last summer, and I see they are needing repair/replacement for the same reason again. Anyone out there having the same problem? It is a major fix, I understand, requiring rear bumper and inner fender liner removal to do the job. Can't blame it on car washes because the car has been washed by hand since day 1. Just wondering if my problem is unique or if anyone out there has a solution.

robbie27,
I would recommend taking the vehicle back to the dealer for your concern. If you would also send me your VIN, current mileage, and involved dealer, I would like to look into this further. Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns. Please feel free to email me directly.

Thanks Christina. I have e-mailed you the info. I was simply trying to see if anyone else had this problem, as I believe my car was the only sport wagon my dealer sold! Thought there may be a permanent fix they were not aware of! My dealer was most helpful the last time and I have not contacted them yet for the current required repair.
