I saw this new (234 miles on the OD) 2008 Caliber SE on a dealer lot. It is an SE model with a few added features, but it is not a very good interior, and no power stuff. It has the 2.0 liter engine. My question is simply, How do you value the car? The car is new but it is two years old, they are asking 15K for it, which is absurd. The company is in bad shape, who knows if the Warranty will be useful? There are not a lot of options on it, it is a base model car. I might be interested in the car for 7 or 8,000, but 15K, forget it. I can wait until the fire sale for a newer car if they are firm with 15K. Thanks for the help! |

I have a 2.4L-engine. Live in Europe. Got it in All-Wheel-Drive, with ALL the bells and whistles-- except Sunroof (I'm 6'5") which LOWERS the roof-interior; no GPS; nor idiot-back-up helper. I spent 22K on mine. Remember, however, I have chrome-clad wheels... best stereo... Drive 100-miles-an-hour-- 100-miles-a-day [to work]. Couldn't GIVE me one of the smaller engines. I spend a few hours a day IN it-- I don't drink (excessively), nor smoke (at all). Why not enjoy...SOMETHING: With THIS bunch in Congress, et al, I'll not return to America till after the 2012-elections... just SAW that new move "-2012-"... may BE no country to return to. Uh... BEEP BEEP! |
