Hello, I have a 2005 Grand Prix 3800 V6 Series III engine with 79,000 miles. The problem I am hvaing is in the morning startup is fine, but after car is driven to the store or station, etc. on a short or long run then shut car off come back to car and start car up it starts up then stall instantly. The only way the car will run if you goose the gas for a couple of seconds. I'm not sure what the problem is could be timing, PCM, injector(s) a sensore?? I just changed the plugs 3 weeks ago still no change. Cycle 2 and 5 is showing a little bit of hot spot on old plugs. Per reading a Hayens manual for a different car they suggested coolant problem, timing, valve issue or wrong heat range of plugs. Another thing that has happened only twice so far with the new plugs, after a hot run, shut car off and the whole car lunged (jerked) forward which is not normal. The old plugs arer AC Delcos and the new ones are NKS's. Any suggestions?? The other problem I have is the DIC in the morning the date shows yesterday, but when I return to car in afternoon the DIC shows correct date. I adjusted radio clock made no difference. Also I noticed the Change Oil mointor has not gone off sence last oil change which has been almost 6,000 miles ago I did reset on last oil change. But everything else on the DIC seem to be working fine. Any one have suggestions?? |
