The fliuds were all checked but I don't know when they were replaced. Could that make it overheat? If so, I can have that done.

Mileage at 100K is the magic number to have them replaced. If either has old or low fluid level, that would be a cause for it to overheat especially with the added stress of towing.

If you have more than 10 degrees differance between top and bottom hose your radiator is plugged causing your problems. I use these guy's they are the best
