"If you are referring to the working class and small business men"

I am referring to the lowest common denominator who often lacks even a high school diploma who will vote based on what a church or a supposed moral leader tells them. Tens of millions of Americans are in this category, and it is a big reason for the devolution seen today.

" I am sure she will be re-elected by a landslide"

So were Hitler and Stalin, among others...

"Your contempt for the white working class is noted."

Note it all you want, is that some kind of veiled threat? It would be in your best interests to choose different words, words like you are noting statements can be taken as being sinister

If the "white working class" knew how the idiots they support are killing their futures, they might think differently and rebel against this broken two party system controlled by the same powers no matter the party. But at the moment, the white working class lacks the knowledge and courage, as do the black working class, the asian working class, the hispanic working class, in every developed nation, not just in the US.

"She did not appeal to the fringe kooks for sure"

She was in a secessionist organization, wasn't she? Sounds like fringe kooks to me.

Another funny "welfare state" ideal - Palin pledged her love and devotion to and for Israel, which is a welfare state in terms of being dependent upon money from others. Why can't the GOP oppose that welfare state?

"Will the newcomers force the natives to leave their own countries?"

Or will the natives force those allowed in under undefendable immigration policies to go back home? That's probably what should happen. I predict a round of violence or even assassinations against elected officials in Europe at some time, and that includes actions against Brussels itself. Laws can be changed and repealed - as the laws are unjust themselves.

"I think you are confusing Civil Unions with Marriage"

Not at all. Marriage arguably shouldn't be a ward of the state at all. It should be a religious construct, and churches should not be allowed to make legal terms. Get married at a church, have a legal union put on paper at the courthouse. Simple solution.

Nothing sinister in my comments. Just replying to your derogatory reference to me being poor white trash, by the fact I voted for Sarah Palin. Notice I did not say John McCain. I would have voted for a Libertarian before McCain and Romney or Guiliani. All of whom I feel are the problem just like Obama.

No, Palin was never part of the group that advocated secession from the Union. I believe her husband was at one time associated with the Alaskan Independent Party, which considered secession as an alternative to being raped by the Feds. She did reach out to that party in her bid for Governor. Not all Alaskans were for statehood in 1959. The idea of secession is gaining ground with several states that are not happy with the condition of our country. Seems beyond repair. Which you seem to be saying also.

Marriage arguably shouldn't be a ward of the state at all.

I have held that view most of my life. Because the state feels it is their area of control, the populace should have the right to determine the parameters via Democratic vote.

I'm sorry - I wasn't referring to you with that statement. My mistake if something made you read me that way, it wasn't my intention. Besides, if I was going to insult you, I wouldn't hide it, I would just say it

In my eyes, you support her because your only other viable choice was the Dems, and you hate them - and have ever since the troublesome Carter era.

I'd have trusted Paul more than either of the two candidates allowed viability, simply because he isn't as much of a deep insider as the others. But the powers that be would get to him too.

Secession aint gonna happen, although it can be amusing to imagine. I like the idea of OR, WA, BC, and maybe Idaho making its own little dominion. But the Feds would gladly slaughter their own citizens before they'd break up the union.

Palin's husband is another reason voters had reason to be leery. It's no secret he's been involved in her decisionmaking - I don't believe someone with his credentials and history should be making decisions for anyone. So, he was a member of the AIP, and she attended at least one convention. That's not a realistic mindset.

Can a vote manipulated by untold millions spent by religious special interests to sway the sheeple be considered "democratic"? It isn't. It's special interest advocacy at work. Make marriage a religious construct, and make partnerships a state construct. Allow the latter the rights of what we now know as the former, and if some of the former wish to include all, it is their right, just as if some do not, they are free to exclude. Problem solved.

Todd Palin was just a little too macho for the average Democrat Liberal to accept. He seems like a decent sort to me. Works for a living like most of us have. I don't think the hunting and fishing was a plus for the left wingers either. We are a MUCH divided country.

As far as the Alaskan Independence Party. I don't see them in the same wacky light I do the Green party or Socialist Party. They were Alaskans tired of being sold out by the two major parties. Most Alaska residents were not members of either the Dems or the GOP. I believe it was 56% that registered "Independent" until the big guys passed some flaky legislation a few years back that would not allow you to vote in the primaries if you were not registered in their party. I know I was registered Independent, (no affiliation) for the 37 years I voted in Alaska.

Usually the loud macho ones are overcompensating for something. You know, the guys who drive lifted diesel dually 4x4s with loud custom exhausts, and drive at 50 in a 30 most of the time...

Nothing wrong with hunting and fishing, but those aren't what raise eyebrows.

Drunk driving record, didn't register to vote til he was 25...sounds like some sound judgment. Just who I want to be influencing a leader. A big sigh of relief he isn't a part of the White House.

Dems and Greens love hunting and fishing - keeps all that federal land locked up you know.

Here's an even bigger embarrassment - Democrats Outshoot Republicans. (Redpills.org)

Cheney wasn't invited - it was a Congressional Shoot Out.

I did not see John Kerry mentioned. I thought he was a big time trap shooter. It is a small handful of Democrats that do like to shoot for sport that keep the anti gun lobby at bay.

I don't think the whole picture of Todd Palin has been painted here. He is an Alaska Native. There is still a lot of animosity toward the White man that has stolen THEIR land and oil. Many do not vote at all as they just do not want to assimilate into the White man's culture. Fintail, surely you have witnessed that in Washington with the Indian groups. For him to not want to be a part of the Democrats or Republicans is quite understandable. I have not wanted to be part of either myself. This last election is the first time I registered Republican since 1964. My whole time in Alaska I refused to associate with either party. I did vote Republican 90% of the time. Steve Cowper was the only Democrat I ever voted for, and he turned out to be a total loser. He was succeeded by Wally Hickel who ran as an Alaskan Independence Party candidate, yes the same one. Wally was governor as a Republican also until Nixon made him Secretary of the Interior. Alaska politics cannot be compared to the rest of the USA.

If Sarah Palin were to run for President next time, I would campaign much harder than last time. She is head and shoulders above the puppet we have in the White House currently. Much more likely to think for herself. And not poll driven as Obama is. Do I think she would succumb to outside pressures? More than likely she would. Our system is owned by big money interests.

Everyone has stolen someone's land at some time. I don't see Todd being a part of the old bitterness - it's not about assimilation.

I don't see a lot of pointless dissent from the old native groups here. Many of them have turned the casino allotments into thriving concerns.

With Sarah pledging her love for Israel and being tutored by Kissinger, it looks like she is pretty much the same junk we've had for the past half century or more, a puppet of special interests, same clown different suit.

On thread topic kind of, it would be nice to see Barry castigate the bastards in Iran a little more strongly.

Which bastards in Iran? The hardliners in power or the hardliners wanting to get power. Though I do believe there is a population in Iran that are more open to Western culture. The ones that Carter sold out when he pulled the rug out from under the Shah of Iran. I consider Carter more of the problem in the Middle East than Israel.

So what would you advocate if the Canadians lobed 7000 mortar shells into Washington state over the last year? I'm not a big fan of the Israeli government. I do believe they have a right to exist in the region. They did get along fine with the Palestinians in the region until the Islamic controlled governments around them decided they did not want them there.

You should be pro Israel. The Israeli government does just what you advocate. Very limited & Strict immigration rules. Not only do you have to be of verifiable Jewish heritage. You cannot have been baptized a Christian. It is easier to get a permit to build a Mosque in Israel than a Christian Church. A Jewish Christian missionary that was born in Israel has pushed his case to the Israeli Supreme court to get a building approved in Tel Aviv. It has been a 10 year battle with the Orthodox Jews. It will be the first Christian Church built there since Israel became a state. The only Christian churches currently there were built as far back as 384 AD. So Christian churches have been built destroyed and rebuilt there for centuries. As much as the Jews despise the Christians, they are their best allies. You have to understand the book of Romans to understand the passion Christians have for the state of Israel.

The Socialist in this country should embrace Israel as it is a totally Socialist country. What it comes down to is I feel that Israel has a right to exist as much as Germany has a right to exist or Japan or any other country. We have spent Billions on both Germany and Japan and you seem to think that is OK.

PS
I disagree with the Theology behind the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem.
