The mpg benefit is only 1-2 mpg, IIRC. I've been happy with my T5 FWD in the WI snow. It is not like my Subaru's were in the winter snow, but it is ok. The Michelin's on the S40 are alright, but dedicated snowtires would be recommended for Colorado winters, IMO.

Hi, I am trying to decide on FWD or AWD. I live in a fairly warm weather state and snow is not usually an issue. Is the ride of an AWD worth the higher price (about $1,300)? I appreciate any comments / opinions on this. Thank you.
