When I bought the rig the owner just upgraded the motor from SOHC to DOHC, I put in a rebuilt tranny one year ago. I have had small elect. issues from day one (dash lights come on/off etc.) it will overheat in warm weather (putting in a 2nd fan for that). Other than the heat issue it runs great. My prob is that two days ago I lost 1st gear, rev and all others were fine. Check trans light came on. Fluid is fine. Took it to the shop today they hooked it up but only got a "fail safe" code(not sure the number). Was told it is electrical prob but would have to pay for them to diagnose. Then It seems I lost all gears, high RPM's low MPH.Could the CPU be bad?, tranny solenoid? Any help please and thank you (really)
