Ok, I feel like a dork but i'm trying to get to the brake pads and rotors to work on them, and I literally can't get the tires off. It seems there is a 30-something MM nut and a washer in the middle of the rim that seems to be holding on the tire. I've tried loosening the nut, and it's a no go. My wonder is, could this possibly be holding on the tire? This seems like it shouldn't, because what if you got a flat on the side of the highway? Why would you need to take an extra nut off to get the tire off? This problem has got me spinning circles as to what is going on. Please help! Replying to: scottyj686 (Apr 27, 2009 8:44 am) If it has alot of brake dust then you may have to bump the tire at the top or bottom to break it loose. Center nut does not hold on the wheel. All lug nuts off and wheel off ground just kick the top bottom or side and it should come loose. T
