Anyone have any idea/s as to the weight allowance on the 08 Tundra Crew Max tailgate? Toyota tells me it's not a "weight bearing device". What the heck does this mean?! I'm thinking I should have stayed with my F-150.Steve

This issue was discussed at length when the new Tundra was introduced and owners discovered that the tailgate flexed badly when loads were brought in or out of the bed and rested on the tailgate. Use the Advanced Search link on the right and enter "tundra" and "tailgate" as search terms. kcram - Pickups/Wagons Host
