1984 S-10 4X4 engine removal ? by liljimmy

S-15 engine swap. Maybe I asked my question in the wrong spot.

I am replacing the engine in an '84 S-15 4X4 with a dump bed and I would like to have that procedure in writing, but my real question is where to break thins down. Can I separate the engine from the transmission at the bell housing and leave the transmission and transfer case in place? If so, will I be able to align the shaft into the flywheel for the install? Can I separate the trans from the transfer case and leave it in place? What to do? What to do?

Please help with some good advise.

You may want to have a look at Engine Swaps.
