06 T&C drivers side power window

The drivers side power window will work fine for a few months. Then all of a sudden stop. I have read a few places to slam the door and hold the window down button and it has worked a few times, but that trick is working less and less often. Is there a permanent fix to this.

This could be a similar issue as peedee1... My window was acting up until it no long worked. Motor sounded like it was working, but no movement of glass (unless I used my hand to pull it up or down.) I opened the trim panel and found that one of the cables broke at the take up reel. My question now is what is next? Do I have to replace everything in there or can I just purchase new cables? Part numbers, vendors and approx. costs would also be appreciated. HELP AN UNEMPLOYED DIYer!!! Thanks!

The driver side window in my 03 T&C power window stopped working. I went to a touchless Car Wash. It worked fine when I pulled up to enter my code. When I exited the washer and tried to roll it down, it stopped working. What could have happened, and how can I fix it?
