The August 2009 issue of Consumer Reports found the Insight "disappointing despite its 38 mpg overall." Its summary: "It scored too low in our tests for us to recommend it." Highs for the tested vehicle: "Fuel economy, transmission, hatchback versatility." Lows: "Ride, noise, handling, acceleration, rear-seat, access, visibility."

Replying to: tiff_c (Jun 08, 2009 7:47 pm) Do not try to come North in the winter with your Prius 2010 because you will get stock in the snow on icy road. I also loved my 2008 Prius but with no VSC OFF button the Prius engine stalls on icy hills and you get non hybrid regular front wheel cars pass you. I had to get rid of my beloved Prius after 22,000km from March to early December 2008. They have not corrected the problem on the 2010 Prius . It is a car that cannot be driven in the winter. The insight 2010 LX and EX can because there is a disengagement buttton on the traction system.
