1998 chevy silverado electical short

i have a 1998 chevy silverado and i think there is a short in the system. when i turn on the headlights the windshild wipers turn on or the fuse for the windshild wipers blow. any ideas if this might be in the fuse box or a wire issue. if a wire issue any one now how to remove the whold dash board so i can get to the big blacktaped wires going in behind the dash. thanks Replies to this message: volture (Apr 24, 2009 2:49 pm)

Replying to: volture (Apr 12, 2009 11:05 am) i found the issue. a ground wire that connects to the headlights that was suppose to be connected to the fram under the windshield wiper fluid contaner was not secured very tight so the wire was not getting to ground. i fell stupid now for pulling all the black tape and wires down from behind the dash board. but i did find a short that was blowing out the fuse. just thought this could help someone. thanks
