Fuel Injectors failed at 55,000 miles

My daughter's 2004 Endeavor had the engine light come on at 55,000 miles and the dealer has diagnosed it as three bad injectors. #2, #4, and #6. Is this even reasonable? For injectors to fail at such low mileage seems outlandish to me. And, all on the same side of the engine? She runs nothing but 91 Octane premium fuel and she does a lot of highway driving, so it is not a slow speed issue. Are others seeing this problem? This will be covered by warranty, but the dealer will not do the other three and it seems to me that if half have failed, the other half are not far behind. Sure could use some advice or reports of others experience. Hank
