I spent some time reading old posts about this problem as mine is doing the exact same thing. Misfiring, bogging out/surging when going up hill and missing-loosing power moreso when van gets warmer. In reading old posts it seems that the most common problem is the dirty photo whatever under the distributor and most clean that off or change the distributor and that seems to be the remedy to this problem. Mostly from what I have read here in all the old posts. I had the fuel filter changed and that didn't do it. So my next will be the above mentioned.

I have a 2000 villager, that needs the front Catalytic Converter replaced. The type thats on it is one that has the manifold as part of the cat. I've looked all over online, so has the muffler shop and no one can find it. All that were finding it a front cat with a connecting pipe that ends with two holes for exhaust flow. Not the manifold cat. I don't know why there are 2 different parts like this. But has anyone else experienced this, is there a manifold part that I can add, so as to be able to use the after market parts that I am finding? TIA trav |
