matrix repaired at vibe dealership?

Just wondered if Matrix and VIbes used the same repair parts. If a pontiac dealership is a lot closer and the techs are very qualified and they don't charge too much, could a matrix be repaired at that location?

It never hurts to ask. My guess is "no", however. While the Matrix and the Vibe share basis chassis components and powertrains, from the firewall back they appear to use completely different bodies. As an example of lack of interchangability, I have heard that the cabin air filters in the two cars differ and that a filter for one cannot be used in the other. Therefore, it is unlikely that a Pontiac dealer would have all the parts necessary to properly service a Matrix.
