Just wondered if Matrix and VIbes used the same repair parts. If a pontiac dealership is a lot closer and the techs are very qualified and they don't charge too much, could a matrix be repaired at that location? Replies to this message: aksibeowner (Apr 04, 2009 11:39 pm)

While the Matrix and the Vibe share basis chassis components and powertrains, from the firewall back they appear to use completely different bodies. As an example of lack of interchangability, I have heard that the cabin air filters in the two cars differ and that a filter for one cannot be used in the other. Therefore, it is unlikely that a Pontiac dealer would have all the parts necessary to properly service a Matrix.
