03 Cavalier had batt drained - now shifts slow

My auto. transmission Cavalier was completely drained of battery by accident last night. Boosted it tonight and drove for 20 mins. Each shift thru the tranny was noticeablly sluggish. No other noises though. Could this be a computer issue that will reset?? Car has 203 thou. kms and had tranny fluid changed at about 160kms.
