I have a GP with 3.8L SFI. It was stalling and setting codes 171 & 300 (Bank 1 lean and multiple misfires) I changed the plugs as they were in pretty bad shape, also changed the air & fuel filter as they were due. No longer getting misfire code, but still setting 171. I cleaned the MAF with BrakeKleen and reinstalled, same issue. When I unplug the MAF, it will run but stalls as soon as I plug it back in. Want to be sure it is the MAF before I spend the cash as the car belongs to a cash strapped high school student. Any way to confirm that the MAF is bad? Replying to: tinkerer (Mar 25, 2009 11:28 am) Forgot to mention, the car starts and runs OK when it is cold, as soon as it warms up, it will die unless I unplug the MAF
