rear wheel noise by goodbars

I just took apart my rear passenger wheel on my Town and Country with 4 wheel disk breaks because every time I go around a corner it squeals. My E-Break shoes were falling apart so now Im wondering whether the squealing was the breaks or the axle bearings. Any Input?

Fix the brakes first, then see if the noise is still there.

My experience with wheel bearings has been that they make more of a growling or roaring noise as opposed to a high-pitched squeal. That sound would change when I make turns, sometimes going away, and other times getting worse. This all with front wheel bearings. I have never had any problems with bearings on the rear.

thats pretty much what I thought and since ive never delt with axle bearings, i didnt know what they acted like. i guess i will do the breaks first then since thats the safest route. Thanks!
