94 LHS Headlights Not working

I been having problems with my headlights/fog lights not turning on. they would go on and while driving would turn off. so i had to drive with my HI beams on for a while. now my high beams wont stay on. i pull the colum lever back to turn on the hi beams and it will not stay on. any ideas as to what will cause the lo's/fog to not turn on. the running lights are on just no head lights now. If i hold the lever back the hi beams stay on but. i think i need to replace the lever on steering column and the switch in the dash for turning on the regular head lights.
