I have some kind of glue dripping down from the outer edges of the long horizontal piece that goes across and surrounds the lift gate handle on my 2008 Edge FWD Ltd. (6000 miles). In between the horizontal piece and the lift gate, in the crevice, the paint has bubbled and is completely crumbled off in some places. On both sides there is a glue substance running down about 1.5 inches. The Edge just finished a long, cold Ohio winter. I didn't notice this last summer or fall. The Ford dealer service department said they will put touch up paint on it and schedule it for body work. The The shop said they have never seen this. Has anyone else seen this?
