During the presentation of the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedan, we could have sworn that the Mercedes spokesperson said the car had a "eunuch personality." 2010 Mercedes-Benz E550 First Drive |

I'm not particularly convinced by the exterior design of it.Looks more mainstream-looks more like a Hyundai from the rear portions.Compared to the outgoung model, the new one has certainly lost it's elegance. There is nothing special about it's looks.Atleast the 5.4 litre V8 should help it sell in volumes.

We stopped by the local Merc shop, my brother and I, and ogled the new 9th generation E-Class Mercedes-Benz. I had already seen the commercial that Benz constructed for the E-Class coupe, but when I saw it in pearl beige with an ash interior I went absolutely ape-shit. How anyone can say this car lacks class and is poorly sculpted has to have a lobotomy. I almost wanted to trade my Mark II Audi TT roadster right on the spot. Fabio Varona and Bernard LaGrue were our two sales associates, and they were already intimately familiar with the amazing features of this stealthy but gorgeous new automobile. Mercedes has to be given credit for incorporating some very nifty and useful optional features.... most are designed to save your arse should the unthinkable occur... anywhere from attention assist and pre-safe braking, which will help fully avert or lighten the impact of a frontal crash, to having a total of eleven strategically-placed airbags. It is truly an amazing quantum leap forward in completely insulating the driver and passengers from unrestrained harm. As for the first impression; I could not take my eyes from the vehicle for a split second. It looked like a work of art in sculpture from any angle you chose to view it from. Attesting to the hard and soft lines of the vehicle was last year's S600 sitting right next to it on the showroom floor. It looked mildly bloated compared to the chiseled and soft-lined E-Coupe. The interior also was a sight to behold. It was curvaceous, good-looking and functional. All the information needed to pass unending miles of driving are within touch and view of both the driver and passenger. I just, in my mind's eye, built the car with the options I would like, like 382HP V8 motovation, LED lower lighting with Xenons and some other goodies and came up with.... "hey, why don't you just wait for the AMG version?" I'm sure MB will pack enough horsepower to stay with or outrun BMW's M series cars, especially, the 500+ HP 5 and 6. Now, keeping up with a Nissan GTR might prove impossible, but I am sure all the models will get a proper going over once the cars are bought and leased and start putting miles on their odometers. Well, that's my initial take on the motorcar. I didn't have to drive it, because I was afraid I would like it too much and not want to exit stage left. I also commented to a salesman that it was about time that the past staid MB persona designed and produced such a magnificent machine. I'll have one in my driveway in the used market. It's just that good! |

What in the world did MB do to the design of the new E-class? I caught a few minute glance of a 2010 E550 on a test drive the other day in Littleton, CO. I really wasn't sure if it was a C-CLASS or E-CLASS. The body style/trim and mouldings was pathetic. I tried to like it but really couldn't convince myself(deja vous GLK) to enjoy the design. I know Mercedes builds some very beautiful vehicles, but the deisgners certainly missed the mark on this one. |

This new styling is a no, no for MB. I bet it'll really hurt sales. Take off the badging and then ask people who makes the car. Toyota? Acura? No way it could be German. That's what I would think.

This car is the best E-class ever built. To all of those trashing this car I would say go and drive one before you talk. I actually bought one 2 weeks ago. I own other luxury cars and this one is realy high quality and fun to drive
