I have a 2005 Ford Freestyle SEL. My headlights and tail lights used turn on when door was unlocked with the FOB at night. that feature misteriously went away after I deactivated the auto lock. I tried to get it back by reactivating aoto lock, but no dice. Ford dealer, said that is NOT a feature on this vehicle, and lights ONLY go on when key is in ignition. Does anyone know how to program this? Do your freestyles' head and tail lights illuminate upon door unlock? (provided lights are set to auto and it is dark out) or was it just a fluke?

" I no longer own my FS, but I seem to recall this feature. Try changing the autolamp settings, page 52 of the owners manual (2006 owners manual, hopefully near that page). It may be tied to the autolamp feature.
