Hey all,   I thought it would be a good idea to gauge current owners on their experiences with the gx-470. I'm considering a 2006 used GX as my "new" car. I've been driving an Infinit QX-4 for the last 8 years with great success and am hoping for more of the same with my next SUV. So, from your experiences are there any 'gotchas' I should look out for? Anything expertise you would like to share with model years or different options that were available? Thanks for any help! If I do decide to purchase I hope to be an active member! I am looking at one right now that has 68K on it and was hoping to purchase it for around 15-16K. They are asking 22K. I am interested in what others have experienced in buying a used GX470, any problems with the older models, and anything to look out for, and could I expect to get 200,000 miles out of this vehicle. Anything you have already learned or experienced would be greatly appreciated.

My wife and I just bought a 2002 LX470 with less than 45k miles for $27k. I tested both a 2006 GX470 and 2006 LR3 at Carmax. I had been driving a 1995 Landcruiser for 10 years with only minor problems that kept adding up. The GX was nice but too narrow in the middle row for 3 people. The LR3 was very nice, less than 20k miles, but I coudn't shake the thought of those expensive Land Rover repair bills coming up. The LX is the same size as the Landcruiser although with the armrests on the front seats, it appears to have more space there. A lot more luxurious than the LC too.
