I'm currently on the fence about buying a 2009 V50 vs. a 2009 VW Jetta Sportswagen. The VW is less expensive, gets better mileage. I don't know enough about cars to pick apart the finer differences. Replying to: citydriver1 (Feb 24, 2009 6:19 pm) I am not sure that this response will be pertinent to you, but I replaced a 2003 Jetta wagon (TDI) with a 2005 Volvo V50 a few years ago. The reason I was looking to replace the Jetta is that I found the leatherette seats very uncomfortable. Otherwise, aside from it being underpowered, I was happy with the Jetta. Hope this helps. Perhaps the real leather or the cloth seats in the Jetta would be a better bet.
