General question. Would a 2500 2 wheel drive have the same pulling from a boat ramp than a 1500 4x4? I've seen a couple nice 2500's in my area, but I'm not sure if I should go with a 1500 4x4 (which I've had in the past which I never had a problem with), or a 2500 2x4 which I don't know anything about. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Its about traction. 4x4 with positraction is best (traction control too, maybe?). Positraction on 4x2 is good. Positive traction control by computer application of brakes to spinning 4x2 wheel is good too.
Whatever you got, you will think you need more at some point. Kind of like taking your BMW to the track.
