We have been looking at several suv's and cuv's. I think we have narrowed it down to the 2005-2008 Pilot, 2003-2007 GX 470 & possibly the 2007 Commander. This is what we are looking for in our vehicle:
Comfort - I have back problems and am looking for comfortable seating, esp for road trips. I seem to have gotten spoiled with the seats in my Volvo S60. Towing - We will be using the vehicle to go on some road trips pulling a trailer (2500#'s). We live down a dirt road which after rain can become a little rough. We have a 2 y/o with one on the way. So a third row is a must. But doesn't have to be the best as it will only be used when the grandparents are in town visiting. It is not something that will be used on a daily basis. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. We want to make sure we are happy with this next purchase. A little gun shy as we were very unhappy with our last vehicle purchase (04 Nissan Quest).

As a Volvo S60 owner, why are you not considering the Volvo XC-90? I leased an S60 a few years ago and loved it. So much so that after my Accord lease expires in a couple of months, I'm considering the XC-90 right along with the Pilot.

We did look at the Volvo XC90 but had to eliminate it from our list. I was very disappointed when we looked at the XC90 and I realized rather quickly that it was not the vehicle for us. I was SO hoping that it would be "the one". The one big reason it was not the one was due to the size of the vehicle. The third seat in the Volvo is only meant for children. There is no way my in-laws would be able to get into it. I am 5'7" and I could not even sit directly facing forward. I had to turn to the side to fit my legs in. We don't need the third row on a daily basis but it does still need to be useable.

Thank you for the suggestion though. I would definitely have to say the Volvo that I have know has the most comfortable seats of any vehicle I've ever had.
