I took my truck to Part Source when the engine light came on. They hooked up thier code reader to it and it said that it could be a misfire or an oxygen sensor in bank 1. I replaced the spark plugs and the light went off after being reset. On the drive back home, the light came back on. The current symptoms are a rough idle, no power when you step on the accelerator, cannot climb hills, and consumes double the fuel it should. I am inclined to believe it is the oxygen sensor, but I am told there are 4 for my truck. I can't afford a diagnostic because they want to charge me 125 dollars, plus I have to buy the part which I am under the impression is about 160 dollars, and then the labour for it. Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions for a low cost solution?
