Recently the 3.0 liter v-6 engine n my 2002 Tribute failed. The dealer tells me they cannot use a 3.0 from a ford Escape. This really limits the slvage engines I can explore. Is the dealer filling me a line just to get me to buy a new engine. If there is something different can the escape engien be economically modified?
