I just bought a used '07 SEL FWD, and after reading several of the posts here I've been watching the little dash computer to see what kind of mileage I'm getting (compared to others here). I'm a little curious though... when we first brought the car home the mileage read 9.0 MPG. Over the last week it has slowly climbed a point or two a day. It never goes down, it has just been a steady increase. Does the computer take an average over an extended period of time? Replying to: RonBarron (Feb 02, 2009 7:01 pm) yeah, its an average. It should be possible to reset it. Mine doesn't have that, so consult the Owners Manual or a Ford Dealership salesman or service advisor.
