issues with warning indicators

Last week Thurs. evening while I was coming home, my charging system light came on. The next morning, when I was taking the car to have the battery checked, the ABS indicator came on, followed by the Brake indicator and the Trac Off. I turned around and headed back home immediately. As I was headed home, the car was slow to accelerate as if it was not coming out of first gear. Then the funny thing happened...several of the indicators began to flicker. I got home and turned the car off. The car will start but I don't know what to make of the indicator light issue. Any suggestions? I have been told it was everything from the computer to the timing belt.
