Well, I have to say that I'd prefer a 330i ZHP to any E36 save an M3 with a real(Euro) ///M motor. And my Club Sport of course...

I prefer the E46 to the E36 too. Much better build quality and not much weight added. No, my post was referring to the E30 being the pinnacle of the 3-series line.

Only trouble with the E46 was that my head kept hitting the grab handle to my left above the door frame. Even without a sunroof it was just too tight.
