GLK350 4Matic by ss2878

I received a monthly lease payment quote of $601 for a GLK 4Matic with premium 1, heated seats and Comand System with HD navigation and real time SIRIUS traffic (This is a $1,950 option) for 39 months and 10k miles annually. This includes bank fee and taxes. The only thing I need to come out of pocket is first month and DMV fees. I believe the MSRP is $43,000.

Please let me know if you think this is a good deal.

Bought a 2010 GLK350 4Matic a week ago in suburban DC for $5,171 below MSRP. Paid $38,864 + taxes, title and registration. MSRP was $44,035. Here are the details:

GLK350W4 - $36,600
Premium 1 - $3,150
Command W/Navi - $1,950
Heated seats - $740
Metallic Paint - $720
Destination - $875
TOTAL MSRP- $44,035
PAID - $38,864

Was able to finance for 36 months 1.9%. Plus, MB-USA will make the first two payments. Which in my case, results in an effective finance rate of negative 1.8%

My wife bought a 2010 GLK 350 4Matic on October 31st. List price was $41,740.
She paid $37,000 plus tax. She also financed at 36 months at 1.9% with Mercedes paying the first two payments up to $650 per month. She bought the car at Inskip Motors in Warwick, R.I. We live about 6 miles from the dealer.

Seriously?

What are you not telling us? Fleet discount? USAA discount? Trade in?

The Invoice for that car, including destination, is $41,615. The dealer has to pay $600 to MB's national advertising campaign. The holdback (cash back to the dealer equal to 3% of MSRP) is $1321.05. There are/were no other "subsidies" from the MB to the dealer.

So, the car cost the dealer $40,893.95.

Selling it to you for $38,864, means he lost $2,029.95 on the deal, before having to pay a commission to his sales and finance guys.

Really? Why would he do that? What detail are you not telling us?

Any one know the difference btw the GLK350W4 - 101 has a MSRP $35,900 (2010-1) and 102 has a MSRP $36,600 (2010-2). If the 2010-2 is the later series of the GLK350, any changes or improvement besides a $700 up in base price? Thanks!

You are correct. I used the USAA discount which is currently a $1k incentive on GLK models.
