I have the stock subwoofer in the back of my 02 Yukon. I want to replace it with somthing that sounds better but isn't going to break the bank... Any Ideas? Do i need an amp as well? Replying to: Lindgren21 (Jan 15, 2009 1:33 pm) you can get online and find a good JBL subwoofer at low cost and if i remember right i think it is 8" speaker but you will have to check. The back panel comes off quite easily and four screws for the woofer itself. you will need to cut off the factory plug going to the factory woofer but leave the wires long enough to solder to the new speaker. No amp is needed unless you wish to have one. The vehicle comes with one from the factory. I hope this helps.
