Long story short. Owned by a friend of mine (and his family) since ~1992. Car has a broken odo. but he has service records indicating that a year and a half ago it had ~95k miles on it. Needs tires, and probably a full scale tuneup. Used to have the adjustable suspension, but was replaced with coilovers. Car is relatively clean on the interior, paint is somewhat faded in places, but not too bad for a 19 year old red car. He's trying to sell it for ~$1,500 but might cut me some slack. The vehicle drives decent, and the 4WD still works. Had some engine problems last year, but they seem to have been resolved as of the last time I drove the truck. What do you guys think? Oh, one last thing. I'd be giving up my 2001 Mercury Sable LS for this one. I'd sell it and use the extra cash for tires, etc on the Pathfinder. Am I being totally irrational to want it or does this make sense?
