Enclave Leaks by jandsdad

I have a 2008 Enclave with a sunroof. I've noticed that the sunroof leaks during a touchless carwash. I've returned it for warranty 4 times for this issue. Twice they have cleared the drain tubes and said that is the problem. It's not. I go right from the dealer to the touchless wash and it leaks.

Anybody else with this issue.

Buick Customer Service and both dealers said that the car should not be driven through a touchless wash because the pressure is too high. Where was this little piece of information when I was making the purchase. It's not in the owners manual.

Any comments. I am thinking lemon law. The leak has gotten worse over time and I expect it to continue.

Oh, I have a 2005 CTS with a sun roof. It has went through exact same wash for 3 years and hasn't leaked. Still doesn't so I don't know how they can blame my choice of carwashes.

There is a recall for leaking sunroofs. Happened to many people with 08 Enclaves.
Ask your dealer AND check on enclaveforum.net for a lot more info.

Check your state laws and pursue it s a lemon.

It is a total bs regarding not going through a touchless carwash

Agreed this is an issue. I shot a nice video of the water intrusion yesterday. Today I got a picture of an icicle hanging from the sun roof (inside the vehicle). Honestly I realize now it doesn't have to be a touchless wash. It comes in with hardly any water pressure. I actually spent 5 minutes inside the vehicle at the dealers car wash WITH the service tech. Water came in, got on the seats, etc. Again I was told "this is normal"

I checked the recalls. My vehicle wasn't part of it.

That is an unacceptable answer.

To get your problem fixed go to another dealer, then take your service issue with the first dealer to the better business bureau. That needs to be on record with them so others can be forewarned.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
