Speedometer plastic protecter?

I accidently broke my plastic in front of the speedometer, the clear plastic. I was just curious if anyone knows whats involved in getting that repaired. If I can do it myself or if I have to take it to saturn, cause they're a pain.

I've had my Ion for two years now and I've noticed that when I lock the car with the remote, the "beep" that it makes is sounding muffled. Not sure what could cause this. Any ideas? Thanks.
