What's the right choice? by mustangman911

I'm thinking about buying a hybrid car- no SUV's or crossovers- and what should I buy. I don't even have a vague idea of what to get, so go through a wide range.

If you don't need the roominess of the upcoming Ford Fusion Hybrid or the current Toyota Camry Hybrid, then get a Prius. You will have to tolerate its small wheels and mush, wallowy steering, but otherwise the Prius is good. The upcoming Insight will be a cheaper Prius that steers better. The Honda Civic Hybrid is also a very good choice, with the usual good Honda handling/steering. Also, don't buy a hybrid unless you do over 15,000 miles a year, since hybrids are much more expensive than regular cars. Or, just pay the extra thousands of dollars for a hybrid and get a bumper sticker that says "Bin Laden Hates This Car", like Woolsey the ex-CIA Chief; thats a pretty good reason to pony up the extra thousands of bucks to buy a hybrid.
