| I have a 2007 T&C. Over the summer, the range of the remotes seemed to lessen. Sometimes it wouldn't even work. I thought it was batteries, so we changed those. It didn't help. Took it into the shop. They said there was a bad transmitter, they replaced it and reprogrammed both remotes. The short range did not get fixed. 3 days later the one remote didn't work. Then it did work after I drove the van. Sometimes I need to be within 20 feet, sometimes I have to be within 3 feet for the remote to work. I have a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I tested the van and Jeep in the same location. The distances are how many feet was the maximum that I had to be at for the remotes to work. The van, the side - 39 feet, the front - 18 feet, the rear - 12 feet. The Jeep - the side, 144 feet, the front - 158 feet, the rear - 154 feet. Chrysler states 23 feet for the working distance of the remotes. Am I expecting too much by comparing the van results to my Jeep? I know when I first got the van I could easily operate the remotes from inside my house, approximately 60 feet away... but not now. Does anybody know where the receiver module is for this? Thank you. | |
| I am having the same problem but I can't get past my factory alarm to get it started | |
