I have a 2002 LXi model with 78,000 miles. At about 35,000 miles the engine light came up and it was the evaporator fuel canister (code 142). That wa sfixed for a while. The light was off for some time and then it mysteriously came up and off a few days later by itself with the same code. A few months back - about at 75,000 miles - I started getting the Oxygen sensor Hicode 135 and 155 continously. I replaced all 4 sensors and now I get codes 132 and 152. I replaced the two front sensors again and no reprieve. I also installed new fancy (4 electrode) spark plugs after replacing the sensors and still getting the codes 132 & 152 . about 2-3 times a month I started getting code 128 from time to time. The strange thing with my codes - is that if I reset them they will never come back until the car is cold and I start it again. Once reset they never come up while driving. At this point I'm considering a coolant flush to handle possible issues with code 128 and going back to plain vanilla spark plugs (I had NGK from the factory). I'm also considering replacing the fuel filter since I'm getting some hesitation from a standing start. I love my car - have been quite reliable until now. Any suggestions? |
