Hi, new Volvo XC70 owner in Boston. Just purchased a 2007/23k miles car, and the next day my wife knocked the driver side mirror against side of our garage, totally trashing it. I did not buy the car from a Volvo dealer. So, this is my first repair on the car, and question is whether I should go to a local Volvo dealer, or use one of the many auto repair shops in the area. Also, a warranty question - this car has a lot of warranty left on it. Is there anything I should do regarding that? Register the car with Volvo somehow? Will I void the warranty if I have work done by non-Volvo service shops? Any general advise for a new Volvo owner in the Boston area would be appreciated.
