93 s10 rust and oil guage

I have a 93 s10 with 100000 miles on it and it has gotten a rust spot on the passenger side rear corner of the cab at the bottom. I have noticed others like this and was wondering if this is a common problem and if anybody knows where the water may be entering? Replying to: c2cp (Jan 03, 2009 3:58 pm) i have a 93 s15 with 348,000 miles. i changed the oil sending unit and the bouncing problem dissappeared.as for the rust. well im filing the holes with expanding foam. the rear main leaks a couple drops or more oil on the floor and touching anything under it is nasty but the origional 2.8, 5 speed , clutch and rear end are still running fine.
