Replying to: madmax1485 (Jan 17, 2009 10:13 pm) I have a 95 chev s10 about 2 mo ago it wouldn't start replaced the starter,solenoid and battery, about 2 weeks later it did the same thing but this time it burnt a fusible link(one on that block inside the l fender) replaced the link and started looking for a short, didn't find one but the starter started working again, the other day it did the same thing, i can't seem to find the short, goot any ideas?

I have an 86 s-10 4x4 with the 2.8 v6 and 5 speed manual trans. It was working fine the other day then i stop at the gas station and it wouldn't start don't think it was getting enough spark so we push started it and off we went. Today I tried to start it and it turned over then started to click. charged the bettery no ive got nothing, I turn the key no clicks the volt meter just drops to about 9, I've cleaned the positive wire at the starter and the battery and still nothing. I have an 89 s-10 and have no spark. I replaced the ecm, coil,relays,sensors, even prayed over it and still nothing. It started acting funny like the coil was bad cause it would just act like there was no gas getting to it then it would pick back up but now I have nothing. only thing i havent done is changed the hall effect switch and the computer. Replying to: gonogo (Dec 06, 2009 8:21 am) yea it has a dist. with electronic timing. does anyone know what that black box is beside the master cylinder. I have wires going into but have no idea what it is. the book shows it but doesnt say what it is.
